The About hero opened with Experienced. Specialist. Brokers. turning over after the second word, and a sub paragraph capped a third short of the title's right edge.

Title — bold (500 → 700), matching the weight the homepage headline carries, and the whole page-hero title scale steps down ~20% so the triplet fits on one line the way the homepage's People. Technology. Insurance. does. Bold Fraunces is ~6% wider than the 500 it replaces (measured 747px vs 704px at 48px) and the photo notch caps the measure at 620px, so the size drop is what buys the line. --compact and --lead keep their original ratios to the curve (0.92 / 0.80).

Sub — was max-width: 420px against a 620px title. Now shares the title's measure, with the second term taken from the photo's real geometry (54vw, its right-anchored 46% width) instead of the title's rough 50vw: the sub sits below the notch's leftmost point, where the photo has already slanted away.

Also carries two changes already in the tree: the hero closing band (the About facts panel starts where the photo ends rather than ruling a line through it) and full-width legal pages.

Verification

Headless Chromium with fonts loaded, at 861 / 900 / 1024 / 1152 / 1280 / 1440 / 1680 / 1920px:

  • About title is one line at every width, clearing the photo notch at each (1440: title ends x=768, photo starts x=810).
  • Sub breaks after "…expertise to deliver insurance" at every width from 1100px up.
  • Products (3-line sentence title), News, Events, Contact, Client Portals, and the lead / compact detail heroes all checked — no title overlaps the photo.
  • npm run type-check and npm run build pass.

The About hero opened with `Experienced. Specialist. Brokers.` turning over after the second word, and a sub paragraph capped a third short of the title's right edge. **Title** — bold (500 → 700), matching the weight the homepage headline carries, and the whole page-hero title scale steps down ~20% so the triplet fits on one line the way the homepage's `People. Bold Fraunces is ~6% wider than the 500 it replaces (measured 747px vs 704px at 48px) and the photo notch caps the measure at 620px, so the size drop is what buys the line. `--compact` and `--lead` keep their original ratios to the curve (0.92 / 0.80). **Sub** — was `max-width: 420px` against a 620px title. A year on the story timeline now carries a list of points instead of a
single title and description. Extra points render to the right of that
year, sharing its dot and label, and the track sizes its columns by
point count so every point keeps the same width. Both admin editors
edit a year's points side by side, with "Add point to <year>".

A document saved in the old flat shape reads forward into single-point
years, and consecutive entries sharing a year fold into one.

"New. Experienced. Specialist." was hardcoded in the footer, so it was the
one line of footer copy the admin could not change. It now lives on
siteSettings.footer alongside the address and legal links, with a field at
the top of the Footer section in Site settings.

Settings saved before this carry no tagline, so getSiteSettings falls back
to the default rather than rendering an empty strapline.

Event cards on /events are now links to /events/[slug] — the same detail
page skeleton the news articles use: hero photo with a focal crop, crumbs,
a serif standfirst, optional body paragraphs, a sticky navy rail carrying
when/type, and a "More events" band.

Events gain the fields that page needs — body, imageFocalX/Y and an
optional external link — and the admin Events editor mirrors the News one
for all three: an "Event page" disclosure with the live URL, a body
textarea and the external link, plus the click-to-set crop focus picker.

Event pages are listed in the sitemap alongside news and products.

"Experienced. Specialist. Brokers." turned over after the second word,
which reads as a mistake rather than a line break — the homepage sets the
same kind of triplet ("People. Technology. Insurance.") on one line. Set
the hero title bold to match the weight the homepage headline carries,
and step the whole page-hero title scale down ~20% to buy the room that
one line needs: bold Fraunces is ~6% wider than the 500 it replaces, and
the photo notch caps the measure at 620px. --compact and --lead keep
their original ratios to the curve so the three sizes stay one system.

The hero sub was capped at 420px against a 620px title, so it turned over
a third of the way short of the title's right edge. Give it the title's
measure, using the photo's real geometry (54vw, its right-anchored 46%
width) for the second term rather than the title's rough 50vw — the sub
sits below the notch's leftmost point, where the photo has slanted away.

Also carries the hero closing band (the About facts panel now starts where
the photo ends instead of ruling a line through it) and full-width legal
pages, both already in the tree.
